About

When I was in college in southern California, my plan was to work in sports marketing, with a focus on community relations and working with kids as part of a larger sports organization. I centered my internships around this and spent a year at WSU (braving the snow!) to pursue a sports management degree. One cancelled degree program and a move back to SoCal later, I thought that was it - I was staying in California permanently. However, the world had different plans for me. I was offered a job out of school at Microsoft, working on their public sector education marketing team. I moved home to the city I love so much, and haven’t looked back since. From managing in-house brand work, to launching retail loyalty programs and planning paid media for a Super Bowl commercial, to working on iconic brands and making them relevant to today’s consumers, it’s all given me the confidence and skillset I have today.

All of this has taught me - do what you love, and life will follow. It may not always be a set 5 year plan, but that’s ok - what matters is that I’m doing what I’m passionate about, not necessarily how I got here. I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I recently got married, bought a house, and adopted a kitten - it’s been a whirlwind of a year! I love cheering on our Seahawks (15+ year season ticket holder here!) and hoping that maybe…just maybe…this will be the Mariners’ year. I’m an avid reader and so competitive, even with myself, that I set annual personal reading challenges - how many books can I consume on my Kindle between long Seattle commutes, waiting rooms, and early Sunday mornings with a cup of coffee?
